Terms of Service

1. Service Description

CODShield is a Shopify application that enables merchants to:

• Analyze Cash on Delivery (COD) orders
• Calculate a fraud risk score
• Automatically tag high-risk orders
• Monitor and manage order risk from a centralized dashboard

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using CODShield, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, you must not install or use the application.

3. Eligibility

To use CODShield, you must:

• Be an active Shopify merchant
• Comply with Shopify's API Terms of Service
• Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract

4. Merchant Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use CODShield in compliance with applicable laws
• Ensure the accuracy of order data transmitted
• Comply with data protection regulations (GDPR and others)
• Remain responsible for all business decisions made based on risk scores

CODShield does not make automated legal or financial decisions on behalf of merchants.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Use the app for unlawful or fraudulent activities
• Attempt to bypass system limitations
• Reverse engineer or resell access to the application
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

6. Pricing and Payment

• Pricing plans are displayed on the CODShield pricing page.
• Subscription fees are billed through Shopify's billing system.
• No refunds are granted for partially used billing periods unless required by law.
• CODShield does not store payment information.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted availability
• Absence of errors
• Compatibility with all Shopify configurations

Maintenance or updates may temporarily affect availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

CODShield is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We are not liable for:

• Financial losses resulting from merchant decisions
• Fraudulent orders not detected by the scoring system
• Downtime or technical issues related to Shopify
• Indirect or consequential damages

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• These Terms are violated
• The service is abused
• Subscription fees are unpaid
• Required by law

Merchants may terminate at any time by uninstalling the application.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective 30 days after publication.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of France.
