1. Service Description

CODShield is a Shopify app that allows merchants to:

• Verify Cash on Delivery (COD) orders
• Send transactional WhatsApp messages via the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API
• Calculate a risk score to detect potentially fraudulent orders
• Manage and track COD orders from a centralized dashboard

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using CODShield, you agree to these terms of service.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the application.

3. Eligibility

To use CODShield, you must:

• Be a merchant on Shopify
• Have a WhatsApp Business account approved by Meta
• Comply with Meta WhatsApp and Shopify policies
• Be of legal age to enter into a contract in your country

4. Merchant Responsibilities

By using CODShield, you agree to:

• Use the application only to send transactional messages (order confirmation, verification)
• Not send spam or unsolicited marketing messages
• Comply with data protection laws (GDPR, etc.)
• Obtain consent from your customers to contact them via WhatsApp
• Not use the application for fraudulent or illegal purposes

5. Prohibited Use

• Use CODShield to send marketing messages without consent
• Share or resell your access to the application
• Attempt to bypass technical limitations
• Use the application to harass or spam customers
• Violate Meta WhatsApp or Shopify terms of service

6. Pricing and Payment

• CODShield offers different pricing plans available on the pricing page
• Fees are billed monthly through Shopify
• No refunds are granted for partially used billing periods

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep CODShield available 24/7, but we do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service availability
• Absence of bugs or errors
• Compatibility with all Shopify configurations

We reserve the right to temporarily suspend the service for maintenance.

8. Limitation of Liability

CODShield is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

We are not responsible for:

• Financial losses related to the use or inability to use the application
• Fraudulent orders not detected by the scoring system
• Issues related to Meta's WhatsApp API or Shopify
• Blocking decisions made by Meta on your WhatsApp account

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to CODShield in case of:

• Violation of these terms of service
• Abusive use of the application
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Request from legal authorities

You can terminate your subscription at any time by uninstalling the application from your Shopify store.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be notified by email and will take effect 30 days after notification.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French and European laws (GDPR). In case of dispute, the competent courts will be those of France.
